To perform chip tuning on Toyota Camry 2.5 V75 restyling (2021-2023) according to the Stage 1 program, the engine software was optimized through the regular OBDII connector. In the process of work, the master used specialized professional equipment and individual software developed taking into account the specifics of this particular engine.
A feature of this procedure is the absence of mechanical intervention in the engine and transmission, which ensures the preservation of warranty obligations and durability of units. The firmware execution time takes about 1 hour, including testing and verification after the changes were made. In addition to the basic setup, the intake manifold vortex flaps and catalyst controllers were disabled, which improved the intake efficiency and reduced the exhaust resistance.
The result of the reflash was a noticeable improvement in the dynamics and response of the engine. The power increased from 200 to 235 horsepower, and the torque increased from 243 to 267 N∙m, which made the acceleration more agile and comfortable.
The delays in the throttle response were removed, and the smoothness of the automatic transmission was improved, which had a positive effect on the handling and safety during overtaking. In addition, the fuel system has been optimized, resulting in a reduction of fuel consumption by approximately 0.5-1 liter per 100 kilometers. Overall, the firmware has improved the vehicle's overall energy efficiency without compromising its reliability or lifespan.
